Posted: February 25, 2016 by Matt H. Dannals

Vail Veterans Program, Winter Mountain Adventure offers wounded warriors five days of private, all-day certified adaptive ski/snowboard instruction that focuses on individual needs and goals, and their guests are offered group ski/snowboard lessons. Group meals and evening activities provide time for camaraderie that creates long-term friendships.

Since, 2004, the Vail Veterans Program has been transforming military injured and their families through individualized world-class outdoor programs building confidence and life-long relationships.

Vail Veterans Program participants include United States military personnel who have been severely injured while serving our country.  Most veterans who participate in our programs come directly from: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland; Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, and the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California.

Vail Veterans Program events, because of donors, volunteers, and the Vail community, are provided to military injured and their families entirely free of charge.
